New Update (7/23) ==============

Jennifer Lawrence Makes Time for a Tender Reunion in Action-Packed Mockingjay Trailer

The The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 trailer that rocked Hall H at Comic-Con two weeks ago is finally available to the general public, and any worries you may have that the franchise was losing steam are sure to go right out the window. While Part 1 involved a lot of waiting around and mounting tension, this trailer promises the final chapter in Katniss’s story will be the exact opposite.

With high-strung emotions and President Snow’s devious traps exploding all over the place, Jennifer Lawrence’s final bow is sure to excite. But it’s not all action and adventure. The trailer also hints at some emotional moments for Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and Prim.

No spoilers for anyone who hasn’t done the reading, but at their Comic-Con panel, director Francis Lawrence said, “If you love the end of the book, you’ll love the end of the movie.” If you have done the reading, keep an eye out in this trailer for Tigris, the odd, cat-faced character from the final book. Katniss and her rebels will storm the Capitol in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 on November 20.

You know what they say: All is fair in love, war, and wartime propaganda. Well, chances are Plutarch Heavensbee has said (or thought) that at some point.

And in a new teaser for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, first posted on Jennifer Lawrence’s Facebook page, Katniss can be seen wearing a red suit and some sort of cape/hood as she stands proudly on a statue of the sign for District 12 (and now, the rebellion). That image, paired with epic music, is then followed by another screen, which reads, “Stand by for a message from District 13.” In other words, Katniss’ superhero pose is intended to rally supporters in the war against the Capitol.

But now the question is: Is Katniss’ red suit only part of a propaganda campaign, or will we see it in action?

And now, the teaser isn’t the only place the red suit has shown up. The film also tweeted out a new poster of the girl on fire sitting on a white throne. See below:

After tortuous social media teasing from lead stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, the awesome first trailer for the final Hunger Games movie Mockingjay Part 2 has dropped online.

Katniss, played by Lawrence, will continue her epic battle to defeat the Capitol “so we may all be free” as the much-loved franchise reaches its dramatic conclusion.

Francis Lawrence is back in the director’s chair with Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Julianne Moore also among the star-studded cast.

Mockingjay Part 2 will see Katniss and Distract 13 engage in “all-out revolution” against the oppressive President Snow (Donald Sutherland). Peeta, Gale and Finnick will all be at her side as Katniss risks everything to bring victory to Panem and ensure it’s future while Snow is hellbent on killing her.

“Nothing good is safe while Snow’s alive and I can’t make another speech about it” Katniss decides, a look of steely determination on her face. “Snow has to pay for what he’s done.”

A cryptic poster revealing that “the Mockingjay will be heard” was sent to news outlets yesterday along with today’s date “6.9.15”, prompting rumours that the teaser would be arriving. The cast and crew also joined in with the fun, posting some mysterious tweets.

MJMocking Jay Part 1 proved a box office smash last November, grossing more than $725 million worldwide. Part 2 will follow on 20 November later this year.

It remains to be seen whether there will be any spin-off Hunger Games films, after Lawrence said last year that he is “definitely open to talking about it” with Lionsgate.

“I think everybody’s thinking about it,” he said. “Everybody loves the world and the ideas.”
