After delighting the world with pictures of them riding a jet ski together, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are turning their newfound friendship into a professional partnership.

Lawrence told The New York Times that she and Schumer are writing a screenplay together, and it’s a comedy. Best of all? Both of them plan to co-star in it as sisters.

“Amy and I were creatively made for each other,”Lawrence said. “We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up.”

Lawrence added that they’re also writing with Schumer’s sister, Kim, who worked on Trainwreck.Schumer and Lawrence only met a few months ago, after Lawrence saw Trainwreck and reached out. (Earlier this summer, Schumer posted a video of herself freaking out when Lawrence said her name on TV.)

“I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you,’” Lawrence said. “We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”

In fact, immediately after Lawrence told the Times reporter about the screenplay, she texted Schumer to let her know.

“I wrote, ‘I just spilled the beans to The New York Times. Is that O.K.?’” Lawrence said. “And Amy wrote back, ‘That you’re gay? Totally! It’s exciting!’”
