The “Friday Night Lights” movie is taking shape.

While Details was interviewing Peter Berg — the 2004 original film’s director and creator of the series of the same name — about “Battleship,” the interview was interrupted by Tami Taylor herself, Connie Britton. The “Friday Night Lights” star just happened to be passing by, according toDetails, and was eager to discuss movie progress she learned from “FNL” executive producer Jason Katims.

“So, I had a meeting at Jason Katims’ office,” Britton said. “And I said … ‘Is this movie going to happen?’ I was sitting on his couch, and he’s like, ‘Look behind you.’ And I look behind me and it’s a wall with a big, huge corkboard on it with all these 3×5 cards … He’s like, ‘That’s the movie.'”

The “Friday Night Lights” cast haven’t been shy about updating the press and eager fans about the movie’s progress. In October 2011, Britton told press the movie was “for realsies” happening.

In February, Berg said the script was almost done, but it was just a matter of getting everybody together.

“So much of these things become scheduling,” Berg said. “Kyle [Chandler] is busy, Adrianne [Palicki] is busy, Taylor is busy, Connie Britton is busy, but if we can get everyone in the same room at the same time, we all want to do it. We’re not done with ‘Friday Night Lights.'”

Britton said she’s eager for the film. “I was so excited,” she told Details. “Then [Katims was], like, ‘Don’t look at it! I don’t want you to see it until it’s a script.’ I’m like, ‘I’d better have a good part in it!'”
